My friend Lizzie and her husband Michael were living in a home that has been in Lizzie’s family for multiple generations. When they sold the home, they wanted to have family pictures taken with Lizzie’s mom, step-dad and sisters one last time before the closing date. Their son, whom I photographed at just two days old, had just turned one so it was the perfect time for pictures.
In the front of the home they have the most magical flower garden. It was beautiful watching the kids explore the garden and the backyard and see the wonder in their eyes. At one point we ended up near the front stoop where it just so happens their son likes to dig in the dirt, so at the end of the session they set him down in the back near a patch of dirt and he went wild. It filled my wild and free mama heart. I hope the new family fills this home with as much love as Lizzie’s family has; Lizzie and Michael, I hope you find the perfect place to set your roots.
